Up for sale is a high-quality 1800 Grit Resin Bond Diamond Expanding Belt. This belt is designed for use on a standard 6-inch expanding rubber drum for lapidary cabbing, glass grinding, or stone polishing.
This belt is effectively in "like new" condition regarding its use. The diamond surface appears to have been used perhaps once (if at all), as the texture is crisp and the edges are perfectly intact.
This belt has been kept in climate-controlled storage for some time. Please note the following "shelf-wear" details (also shown in high-resolution photos):
Surface: There are minor "micro-crevices" and tiny pits/pivots in the center of the resin bond due to the natural aging/drying process during storage.
Specific Flaw: There is one small chip in the resin bond measuring approximately 5mm x 7mm.
Performance: These are cosmetic aging characteristics and do not affect the structural integrity of the belt or its polishing performance. Once the belt expands on the drum and meets the stone, it should perform exactly like a new 1800-grit belt.
